Cookies Policy (SkillKaJob)
This page explains what cookies are, how SkillKaJob uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. We aim to keep tracking minimal and use cookies mainly for security, site functionality, and improving user experience.
If you don’t see a cookie banner or preference center on this site yet, you can still control cookies using your browser settings below. When a cookie preference center is enabled, this button will open it.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember information about your visit (like a session or preference), support security features, and (optionally) measure how a site is used.
“Similar technologies” can include local storage, pixels, tags, or SDKs that perform related functions. For simplicity, we refer to these together as “cookies”.
How SkillKaJob uses cookies
- Security & abuse prevention: protect forms, reduce spam, and keep the site stable.
- Core functionality: maintain sessions and basic site behavior (for example, when you navigate between pages).
- Preferences: remember non-sensitive choices (e.g., selected city/course filters) to improve your experience.
- Analytics (optional): understand which pages are useful and improve content. We do not use analytics to identify you personally.
If we enable a cookie banner/preference center, non-essential cookies (like analytics) should be controlled via your choices there. Essential cookies may still be used because the website cannot function safely without them.
Cookie categories
Below are the types of cookies we use (or may use). Depending on features enabled on the site, some categories may not be active at all times.
Required for core site operation and security—such as preventing abuse, keeping forms secure, and maintaining essential session behavior. Blocking these may break parts of the site.
Helps remember preferences (for example, city selection or dismissed notices) so your experience is smoother next time you visit.
Used to measure traffic and improve pages (for example, which pages are visited most, how users navigate). We avoid using analytics to identify you personally, and we don’t merge analytics data with application details.
If a page embeds third-party tools (like maps or videos), those providers may set their own cookies. Their cookies are governed by their policies, not ours.
Do we use “advertising cookies”?
If we ever run advertising pixels or remarketing (for example, Meta/Google ads), we will update this policy and (where applicable) provide controls through a cookie preference center.
Third-party services and embeds
SkillKaJob pages may include third-party services for analytics, security, or embedded content. Examples can include:
- Analytics: tools such as Google Analytics (or similar) to understand site performance.
- Tag management: tools such as Google Tag Manager (if enabled) to manage site tags centrally.
- Security: spam protection and rate-limiting tools (e.g., CAPTCHA) for forms.
- Embeds: videos (YouTube), maps (Google Maps), or other widgets you view inside a page.
When you interact with third-party embeds, those providers may collect data and set cookies on your device. We recommend reviewing their cookie/privacy policies for full details.
How you can control cookies
1) Use on-site cookie settings (if available)
If SkillKaJob has a cookie banner or preference center enabled, you can review and update non-essential cookie preferences there. Use the button at the top of this page: “Open cookie settings”.
2) Use your browser settings
Most browsers allow you to block, delete, or limit cookies in settings (often under “Privacy” or “Site settings”). If you block all cookies, some features (like saved preferences or secure forms) may not work properly.
- Google Chrome cookie controls
- Microsoft Edge privacy & cookies
- Mozilla Firefox tracking protection
- Apple Safari cookie settings
3) Analytics opt-out (if analytics is enabled)
If we use Google Analytics, you may also be able to opt out using Google’s browser add-on: Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is no consistent industry standard for DNT handling, we may not respond to DNT in a uniform way. We will continue to improve our controls (like a preference center) as the site grows.
Changes to this Cookies Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the site, technology, or legal requirements. When we update it, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
For broader privacy topics (data collection, sharing with institutes, retention, deletion), please read our Privacy Policy.
