Request deletion of your personal data

You can ask SkillKaJob to delete your personal data from our active systems. This page explains the exact steps, what gets deleted, what may be retained for legal/security reasons, and typical retention timelines.

How to request deletion

Please email us from the same email ID you used on SkillKaJob forms. If you didn’t provide an email, email us and include your mobile number used on the form.

2Tell us what to delete
Mention if your request is for Admissions enquiries, Jobs applications, or Both. If possible, add the date of your last submission and the page you used.
3Quick verification
To protect you, we may ask for limited info (e.g., mobile number used on the form, last city/course selected) before deleting the correct record.

Target timelines: acknowledge within 7 working days, complete deletion from active systems within 30 days after verification (unless we must retain some data as described below).

What will be deleted

After verification, we delete or irreversibly de-identify (where practical) your personal data from our active lead handling systems.

We will delete (from SkillKaJob systems)

  • Contact details (name, phone, email) stored in lead/CRM tools.
  • Form responses (course, city, education, preferences) held by us for processing.
  • Optional marketing lists (if you had opted in).

If you only want to stop marketing messages (not delete everything), tell us “Unsubscribe”.

We may still retain (limited, where necessary)

  • Records required for compliance (accounting, tax, audits) if applicable.
  • Security logs and anti-fraud records (to investigate misuse/incidents).
  • A minimal do-not-contact record (email/phone) to honour your opt-out.

We keep retained items to the minimum required and protect them with restricted access.

Important: If your details were already shared with an institute/employer, they may store and process your data as an independent entity. You may need to contact them directly for deletion from their systems. If you tell us which institute/employer, we can also forward your request to them as a courtesy (where feasible).

Typical retention periods

We try not to keep personal data longer than needed for legitimate purposes (admissions/job facilitation, customer support, fraud prevention, and compliance). Below are typical ranges you can expect.

If you request deletion, we act faster than these typical periods wherever possible. We also comply with applicable legal timelines for responding to rights requests.

Your privacy choices (plain English)

You can ask us to correct, update, or erase your personal data that you provided to SkillKaJob, and you can raise a complaint if you believe we haven’t handled your request properly.

FAQ

Can I request deletion on WhatsApp or phone call?
For safety, we prefer requests by email so we can verify identity and maintain an audit trail. If you can’t email, contact support@skillkajob.com and we’ll suggest an alternate verification method.
Will deletion remove my data from institutes/employers too?
We delete your data from SkillKaJob’s systems. If your profile was shared with an institute/employer, they may store it independently. You may need to contact them directly for deletion from their records.
What if I only want to stop promotional messages?
Email us “Unsubscribe” and the email/phone number you used. We’ll stop optional marketing communications without deleting everything.
What happens if I use SkillKaJob again after deletion?
You may need to submit your details again because we may no longer have your earlier form data or preferences saved.
How long does deletion take?
